PRECIOUSKYOTOは、京都府の伝統工芸に携わる職人と、長年に渡り伝統工芸の商品開発に取り組んできたデザイナーが手を組み、新たな価値を生み出すプロジェクトです。
アートワーク作品から、建材、テーブルウェアなどのプロダクトに至るまで、幅広い分野での開発を行なってきました。千年の都、京都。語り継がれる伝統と美意識、研ぎ澄まされ継承されてきた知識と技術。それらをもとに、上質な自然素材が持つ魅力を存分に活かして生み出される、洗練された伝統工芸品。その優れた技術とモダンデザインが融合した作品を提案しています。
PRECIOUS KYOTO is a project bringing together craftspeople from Kyoto with designers who have a long history working with traditional crafts to create new artistic forms of expression.
Together they have developed a wide range of products, from artworks to building materials to tableware. Kyoto – the millennial capital. Aesthetics and tradition, knowledge and techniques have been handed down from generation to generation.
The artworks and crafts that we offer are created from very high quality natural materials, testifying to the excellence of traditional Kyoto craftsmanship and its potential to perfectly fuse with modern design.
